Female Jogger Seriously Injured After Being Struck By Van On Long Island

The incident happened just after 7 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26 in Watermill.

The Southampton Town Emergency Call Center received a call for a jogger struck by a work van.

Several patrol vehicles responded to the scene to find the female jogger struck by a work van. The driver of the van remained at the scene.

Suffolk County Aviation Unit transported the jogger, identified as Mary Ann Jules, 61, of Water Mill, to an area hospital in serious condition. 

Southampton Town Detectives are on scene investigating the cause of the accident.
