Judge Reviews Video In Child Abuse Case Against Nanny In Danbury

DANBURY, Conn. -- A state Superior Court judge on Wednesday reviewed video footage alleged to show a 32-year-old Danbury nanny repeatedly abusing a 3-year-old girl, according to the News-Times.

The video allegedly shows Lidia Quilligana force-feeding the girl, slapping her, knocking her to the ground and pressing her hands and feet to the stove, according to the News Times.

Quilligana, who also is charged with abusing the girl’s 1-year-old twin siblings, faces 23 counts of risk of injury to a minor and one count of first-degree assault in the case, according to the News Times.

Quilligana has been held on $1 million bond since her arrest last March. She has pleaded not guilty to all of the charges.
