Sunset Sail Cruise In Bridgeport To Benefit Breast Cancer Programs

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- It's anchors aweigh for the 13th annual Sunset Sail on the Bridgeport / Port Jefferson Ferry on Saturday, Sept. 12, from 3:30 to 7:00 p.m.

The three-and-a-half hour cruise takes passengers for a leisurely ride along the Connecticut shoreline and out in the open waters of Long Island Sound. All proceeds benefit the SWIM Across the Sound Breast Cancer Programs.

Tickets are $60 for ages 21 and over, which includes catering by Vazzy's, great live music by The C Sides and beer, wine and soda.

SWIM Across the Sound is a charitable grassroots organization run by the St. Vincent's Medical Center Foundation. Established in 1987, the SWIM offers cancer patients and their families a significant safety net by providing financial support and care for the needs that health insurance does not cover.

The ferry will be leaving from the Bridgeport Ferry Dock in Bridgeport.
