NORWALK, Conn. -- Organizers of events ranging from the Norwalk Boat Show to neighborhood block parties assembled in City Hall Tuesday morning to have their permits approved by city officials. Arranged by the city clerk's office, the bi-annual permit signing day brings the heads of various departments together in one room so event organizers needn't travel around town to obtain their signatures.
