Double the Ovens and Keep the Chef Smiling

Two ovens in the kitchen can be a godsend, especially when you’re cooking for a crowd. The problem is, many kitchens just don’t have the space for two ovens so you end up having to cook in shifts.

Now General Electric’s designers have come up with the perfect solution for the space challenged among us. The new GE double oven looks just like a regular 30-inch range. But take another look. There are actually two ovens, not just the one.

A smaller top oven is perfectly sized for trays of cookies or your famous lasagne, and a large lower oven has more than enough room for a respectable sized turkey. The ovens use convection technology to help speed up the cooking process. The convection setting triggers a heavy duty fan at the rear of the oven which reverses direction every 90 seconds, circulating  hot air evenly throughout the oven to ensure even cooking.
