North Salem Hosts Eighth Annual Elizabeth Butler Angel Foundation Walk

NORTH SALEM, N.Y. -- North Salem will host the eighth annual Elizabeth Butler Angel Foundation Walk-a-Thon on Sunday, Oct. 20 starting at 8:30 a.m.

The walk begins at the North Salem Lion's Club and travels to the end of Mills Road before returning back for a 7-mile loop. 

There will be coffee and snacks served before the walk and a barbecue lunch following. 

There will also be a silent auction to benefit the North Salem Girl Scout Scholarship Foundation.

Suggested donations are $25 per family or $10 per person. 

The mission of the Elizabeth G. Butler Angel Foundation is to inspire young women and men to understand their self-worth, teach the warning signs of domestic violence and empower teens to seek help to prevent dating abuse.

The North Salem Lion's Club is located on the corner of Mills Road and Route 22. 

Parking can be found at the Purdy's Train station. Buses will loop the route for participant pickup.
