Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum Of Norwalk Offers Ghosts, Mazes

NORWALK, Conn. -- The Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum in Norwalk invites visitors of all ages to celebrate Halloween in its basement and haunted second floor starting on Friday.

Ghostly Sightings Tours will focus on the history of the house when it was a private residence, between 1868 and 1938. Visitors may encounter the ghost who is haunted by those memories and has been seen walking through the first and second floors of the Mansion.

The tours run through Oct. 25 between noon and 4 p.m. Tickets are $20.

Haunted Basement Tours take visitors through the rarely seen Civil War era underbelly of the building. For Halloween the area will feature a maze with playacting and fun props (not recommended for children under 13 years old). This $20 tour happens on Oct. 25 from 6 p.m to 9 p.m. only.

Purchase tickets by Oct. 24.

Finally, the mansion is hosting a Victorian Villains Halloween Costume Party on  Oct. 26 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. There will be dancing, light dinner and prizes. Tickets are $99. Reservation and ticket purchase in advance is required. RSVP by Sunday.
