Are You Over-Insured?

Insurance is a necessary evil. We all have it – and if we don’t, we should. But when was the last time you sat down with your broker to go over your policies?

With home values lower now than they were five years ago, this is a good time to take a look at your homeowner’s policy. If your home has lost value there is a chance that you might be paying for more insurance than you actually need. If you reduce the amount of coverage you have on your home, make sure you calculate replacement or rebuilding costs accurately in case you need to make a claim. But let’s hope that will never happen.
