FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Two years after the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre that killed 20 children and six adults on Dec. 14, 2012, U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) is making sure nobody forgets that day, or any of the victims killed by violence, reports CNN .

For the past two years Murphy has related stories of violence to the Senate, calling his speeches, “Voices of Victims,” relaying who the victims were, where they lived and what they did in life, hoping that by personalizing the victims of gun violence, Congress will take note according to the report.

"There's no more personal issue than gun violence; every one of these stories is a life lost," said Murphy. "I'm hoping that over the long term, as I tell these stories that it will help to open people's eyes."
