Connecticut’s presidential primaries are on Tuesday, April 26.
Kasich plans to hold a Town Hall meeting at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield on Friday, April 8.
The meeting will be hosted by state state Sen. Tony Hwang of Fairfield and former U.S. Rep. Chris Shays.
According to the website, factcheck.org, New Day employs several of the Republican candidate’s former staffers, including his gubernatorial spokesperson, Connie Wehrkamp.
Wehrkamp, now New Day’s communications director, said in a recent statement that Kasich “is the only one who can actually defeat Hillary Clinton, and Republicans across the country need him at the top of the ticket in November.”
New Day claimed it is the “most active voter operation” of any GOP Super PAC in the 2016 race.
It has more than 40 staff members and 20 offices directing grassroots, paid media, digital, and mail efforts, Wehrkamp said.
Those “voter contact activities,” including phone banking, will be directed out of the three new offices, she said.
New Day is looking for volunteers, she added.
Anyone interested can stop by any of the following Connecticut offices from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, Wehrkamp said:
- Hartford area: 945S Queen St., Southington.
- Connecticut coast: 1587 Boston Post Road, Westbrook.
- Fairfield County: 400 Post Road, Fairfield.
