The portrait of Moccia, a Republican, was placed on the Mayors' Wall of Honor on the second floor of Norwalk City Hall in a ceremony last Wednesday.

Moccia was first elected in 2005, defeating Mayor Alex Knopp by fewer than 200 votes. Moccia went on to serve four terms until losing to Rilling in 2013.

Rilling, a Democrat, previously served as Norwalk's police chief for 17 years before retiring from that post and running for mayor.
