If I can be there I will. Though my thoughts on reducing crime have nothing to do with guns so I doubt they will be considered relevant. Our crime is due in large part because we actively & intentionally attract the sort of people who commit violent street crime. Our crime issues have nothing to do with gun control or the events in Newtown and everything to do with liberal politics and a desire to make sure we get what we have coming from Hartford.
Pretty one sided thing it looks like. Anna Duleep and all our council members should remember they swore an oath to uphold the constitution, not to override it. They need not like the rights preserved in them, but they are specifically FORBIDDEN from legislating in any way that might compromise our rights as preserved in the state and federal Constitutions. To do so against gun rights is no less immoral than to promote violations of other civil rights such as religious freedom or racial equality. Wont happen here with our mayor being in Bloombergs anti gun group, but here is a short video of exactly how an executive officer should treat council members who choose to violate their oath of office.

Perhaps you should attend the forum then, and share your informed opinion as a gun owner regarding what specific steps you support to reduce gun crime.
