NORWALK, Conn. – Former Norwalk Police Chief Harry Rilling officially will kick off his mayoral campaign at 3 p.m. Sunday during an event at the Norwalk Hilton Garden Inn, 560 Main Ave.

Rilling, who served as Norwalk police chief for 17 years before retiring in 2012, is the fourth Democrat to join the race to unseat four-term incumbent Republican Mayor Richard Moccia.

The other candidates are District D Democratic Chairman Vinny Mangiacopra; former Town Clerk Andy Garfunkel, who lost to Moccia two years ago; and Common Councilman Matt Miklave.

Sunday’s event is free and will feature a speech by Rilling on his “plans to restore confidence in our schools, spur economic development and restore civility, transparency, and accountability in government.”

How pathetic is this, not one comment on how one of the Mayors men is running to protect the secrets that has made Norwalk so unsafe.

Trust no one was late for Rillings gig running out of South Norwalk driving around closed streets for the regular weekend shooting not to confuse this with the weekly shooting.

So where was Duff Morris and Perone today off working the state making it a safer place?

Its disgusteing to see even Larry running around thinking he is political real estate.

These men along with Moccia cant keep the city safe and they are out there making fools of themselves in other communities professing what can be done to make Ct safer yet back home Norwalk is a mess.

Maybe if they all advance and get out of Norwalk we may all be better off with new blood in office and not on our streets.
