Duff Appoints Norwalk Pastor To Judicial Selection Commission

NORWALK, Conn. – The Rev. Lindsay Curtis, senior pastor of Norwalk’s Grace Baptist Church, was recently appointed as a member of Connecticut’s Judicial Selection Commission.

“The Judicial Selection Commission has a substantial task and it is one Dr. Curtis is well-suited for,” said Senate Majority Leader Bob Duff (D-Norwalk) in a press release.

“He will be a wise and steady voice as the commission deliberates on judicial nominations. I wish him good luck.”

Curtis is a native of Chicago and earned his doctorate in divinity from Eastern Theological Seminary in Lynchburg, Va.

His service record includes stints as president of the Norwalk Branch of the NAACP, chairman of the Board of Directors of the Norwalk Children’s Foundation, vice president at large for the Connecticut State Missionary Baptist Convention, and president of the Interdenominational Ministers Fellowship.

“I will endeavor to serve to the best of my ability in this role and I look forward to working with the other members of the commission toward the common goal of finding and submitting to the Governor the brightest and the best to serve as Judges across our state,” Curtis said in a press release.

Curtis and his wife, Janis, have five children and three grandchildren.
