Norwalk Rep. Wood Honored For Support Of Emergency Care

DARIEN, Conn. – State Rep. Terrie Wood (R-Darien, Norwalk) recently received the Legislator of the Year award from the Connecticut College of Emergency Physicians.

"The Connecticut College of Emergency Physicians awarded Rep. Terrie Wood the Legislator of the Year award for her work in support of emergency medicine and the patients we serve across Connecticut,” Dr. Elizabeth Schiller, president of the Connecticut College of Emergency Physicians, said in a press release.

“This was in appreciation of Rep. Wood's understanding of the unique issues facing emergency physicians and the medical safety net provided to the people of Connecticut.”

Wood is a Republican who represents the 141st District. She is serving her fourth term in office.

“The work that emergency physicians provide is so important to our function as a society,” Wood said in a press release.

“Their care and professionalism to their patients is unmatched. I’m proud to support their critically important work in our communities and appreciate this award very much.”
