FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Connecticut State Sen. Bob Duff (D - Norwalk, Darien) has been serving the Nutmeg State as an elected official since 2002, but his political roots trace back much further.
"When I was in fifth grade, I was on the student council at Marvin Elementary in Norwalk and I invited the mayor to come and visit us," Duff said in a statement. "I was really excited. My mom came and I have a picture of me with the mayor at the time framed in my office."
Duff began his elected career on the state level as a member of the Connecticut House of Representatives serving the 137th District.
The Norwalk native continued his service in the State Senate, being elected in 2005. Duff now serves as the Majority Leader in the senate, a position he has held since 2015.
