The official numbers had not been tabulated by 11:20 p.m., but according to Norwalk Town Clerk Rick McQuaid, Perone won by a 2-to-1 margin.
Perone was seeking his fifth term as a state representative. Before being elected to the state House, Perone served on the Norwalk Common Council and as a board member of the South Western Regional Planning Agency. A marketing consultant by trade, Perone serves as vice chairman of the Finance, Revenue & Bonding Committee and is a member of the Transportation and Commerce committees. Perone’s name also appeared on the Working Families line on the ballot.
Romano is a member of the Norwalk Common Council and served on the board of directors of Norwalk Economic Opportunity Now. A legal assistant, Romano has also been a customer service/inside sales manager and vice chairman of the Norwalk Human Relations Commission. Her name also appeared on the Independent line.
