STAMFORD, Conn. -- A fight outside a Stamford bar on Sunday night ended with one woman's jaw being broken and one man getting arrested, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Police responded to the Sign of the Whale on Harbor Point Drive at around 10:40 p.m. after a fight broke out between two men, the Stamford Advocate reported. As the men fought, a woman got out of a car and entered the fray, jumping on one of their backs, police told the Stamford Advocate. The man shook her off, knocking her to the ground, which fractured her jaw, according to the Stamford Advocate.

The woman was bleeding from the chin when police arrived, the Stamford Advocate said. Witnesses identified the man who had shaken her off, who was identified as 29-year-old Nicholas Pellegrino of Bridgeport, the Stamford Advocate reported. He was charged with second-degree assault and breach of peace, according to the Stamford Advocate.
