Woman Stabbed On Glasser Street In Norwalk Early Monday

NORWALK, Conn. – A 29-year-old Norwalk woman was stabbed on Glasser Street early Monday, according to police reports.

Officers responded to a 911 hang-up call on Glasser Street at about 1:30 a.m. Monday, police said. Officers arrived to find a woman lying in the road, saying she had been stabbed in the back, police said. The woman had 1.5 inches of a blade sticking out of her back, with the handle broken off, according to the police report.

The woman told police that she had been walking on Glasser Street when she was approached by two men. The two told her to empty her pockets and attacked her, and then ran from the scene toward the intersection with Observatory Street, the victim said. She could not provide police with a description of the suspects, police said.

Police also found another woman sitting in a car nearby, who claimed to be the victim’s girlfriend. She told officers that she had arrived at the scene and found the victim in the road, and called police, according to the report. She did not report seeing any suspects, according to the police report.

The victim was taken to Norwalk Hospital for treatment. Norwalk Police were still investigating the incident.
