Police told the Stamford Advocate that 44-year-old Frank Chimblo and 28-year-old Kristopher Chimblo pretended to be law enforcement officers when they went into the woman's room at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Stamford on Friday night. The woman had posted an ad online illegally offering massages at the hotel, according to the Stamford Advocate.

The two brothers, who both have previous criminal convictions, told the woman that they would report that she was a prostitute if she did not let them go through her possessions, according to the Stamford Advocate. She told police that Frank Chimblo took Russian rubles from her, but police did not find them on him, the Stamford Advocate reported. They did find more than $4,700 as well as counterfeit $20 bills, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Police charged the Chimblo brothers with second-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, sixth-degree larceny and impersonation of a police officer, the Stamford Advocate reported. Frank Chimblo was also charged with first-degree forgery, according to the Stamford Advocate.
