NORWALK, Conn. – A Wilton woman was accused of attempting to steal alcohol out of the back of a truck in a Norwalk parking lot Wednesday, police said.

A witness reported to police that he saw a woman pulling wine bottles and cases of beer out of the back of a truck parked on Goldstein Place on Wednesday evening, according to police reports. The witness also took cell phone photos of the incident and turned the items over to officers, police said.

Officers arrived and found Sarah Zech, 20, of Wilton in the lot, who was identified as the suspect by the witness, police said. She showed signs of intoxication, and attempted to run when officers arrived, according to the police report. She threatened to spit on officers and continued to struggle as she was arrested, police said.

Zech was charged with second-degree burglary, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and interfering with an officer. She was held on $10,000 bond, and is due in court on Sept. 6.
