In August, the Westport Police Department received two anonymous tips that drugs were being sold out of a Saugatuck Avenue home by a young man known as “JoJo,” police said.

Westport police investigated and, one three separate occasions, people leaving the home were found in possession of marijuana, police said.

On Sept. 15, police executed a search warrant and found Josiah Alicea, 18, smoking marijuana in the presence of two juveniles, police said.

Detectives seized marijuana, scales, packaging materials, two BB guns and $1,246 in cash, police said.

Alicea was charged with risk of injury to a child, possession of a controlled substance, sale of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.

He was held on $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk court on Sept. 25.
