Westport Police Charge Norwalk Man With Drunken Driving

WESTPORT, Conn. -- Westport Police charged a Norwalk man with driving under the influence after he was seen weaving across the lanes as he drove on Myrtle Avenue early on Monday, Nov. 30, police said.

Thomas Kaminski, 29, of Norwalk, was arrested early Monday after police saw him weaving across the yellow line on Myrtle Avenue in Westport.

According to police, Thomas Kaminski, 29, was spotted leaving the area of a reported accident scene at 468 Post Road East, traveling west on the road and then onto Myrtle Avenue, where he was seen crossing the yellow lines.

After stopping Kaminski, police said he failed a series of field sobriety tests and refused a drug test. He was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of drugs/alcohol. 

Kaminski was released on $500 bond and was issued a date for Dec. 10 at Norwalk court.
