Police had responded to the area of Riverside Avenue near Charles Street on May 14 for a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian who was struck, according to Westport police.
A description was obtained and an investigation determined that Richard Goldberg, 65, was driving the vehicle when the pedestrian was hit, police said.
Goldberg turned himself in at police headquarters June 22, and the arrest warrant was served, police said.
The pedestrian was treated for non-life threatening injuries and transported to Norwalk Hospital, according to police.
Police set Goldberg’s bond at $500. HIs court date is June 29.
