Officers were called by staff to Table 104 at 299 Long Ridge Road after the men had fled at about 8:30 p.m. in a Ford Mustang, police said. They found the manager with a bloody wound above his left eye, police said.

One of the suspects had head-butted the manager, who tried to escape but was followed by the assailants and beaten by them until employees came to the rescue, police said.

The victim told police that other than telling the former waitress how to do her job he had not harassed nor had he threatened her, said Sgt. Michael Scatamacchia. He didn’t tell police anything further because he said he was worried about further trouble. He was taken to the hospital to be examined, police said.

Soon after, police officers stopped the suspect's vehicle on Wire Mill Road.

Philip Rocco Spadaro, 21, of 967 Rockrimmon Road, and Ryan David Edwards, 21, of 6 Brantwood Lane, were each charged with third-degree assault, third-degree conspiracy to commit assault and breach of peace.
