NORWALK, Conn. A three-car accident sent a woman to Norwalk Hospital and narrowed Connecticut Avenue to one lane briefly Monday evening, witnesses said. A man was arrested.
The accident at Richards and Connecticut avenues happened about 5:15 p.m. A truck belonging to a tree-trimming business ran the red light, a witness said. A woman transporting her children in a Cadillac Escalade came through the green light and struck the truck. Then another vehicle hit the Escalade, the witness said.
The woman was taken to the hospital. Her children were fine, according to their grandmother. Norwalk police guided traffic through one lane for 15 to 30 minutes while the accident was cleaned up, a witness said.
A man who had been in the truck was arrested on a warrant, according to police at the scene.
