The victim told police that he was walking in the area of Ely Avenue and Lexington Avenue at around 1 a.m. Saturday when he was grabbed, the Hour reported. He was told to hand over his wallet, and during a struggle he was slashed with a box cutter, according to the Hour.
The man suffered at least six slashes on his arm while the two assailants fled, according to the Hour. Officers and EMS responded to the scene to treat the man, the Hour reported.
