The 15-year-old was charged with two counts of threatening after he used the Instagram name "Norwalk Clowns" to make the threat after school hours, Lt. Terry Blake said.

The teen had posted on social media that there was a bomb at the school and threatened other acts of violence, Blake said. The department's Special Victims Unit was able to identify and arrest the teen.

Blake said all threats occurred after school hours and the teen didn't have the means to carry out the threat. There was no danger to anyone at any time, he said.

The teen was released to his parents and will face the charges in juvenile court. His name wasn't released due to his age.
