The robber, who is believed to be a white man, entered the First County Bank at 660 Main Ave. at 2:08 p.m. Tuesday, Norwalk police said.

With a deep voice, he told the teller to “give me all the money in your drawer,” said police Lt. Terrence Blake.

The suspect was wearing a ghost mask, a black leather jacket, a black-hooded sweatshirt, black gloves with a design, dark pants and white shoes.

No weapon was shown, and no one was hurt, said Blake.

Matthew Nuzzo, who works at Letizia Pizza across the street from the bank, said everything was quiet until the police arrived.

Nuzzo said he saw a police vehicle pulled up to the bank and joked with two customers.

"'What the heck, did the bank get robbed?' I thought it was a traffic stop, I was making a joke and then more cops showed up," he said.

There was nothing suspicious before the robbery, and he never noticed a vehicle speeding away from the scene, he said.

The bank branch is located on Route 7 near Walmart and Michael's, near the border with Wilton.

Detectives remained on the scene conducting an investigation.
