State Offers $50K Reward For Info In Fatal Hit-And-Run In Norwalk

NORWALK, Conn. -- The State of Connecticut is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for a hit-and-run accident in May in Norwalk that killed a female pedestrian, police said.

At 9:30 p.m. May 11, two pedestrians were struck by a car on Van Buren Avenue near the intersection of Bedford Avenue, which is near Norwalk Hospital and Jefferson Elementary School, according to Norwalk police.

The car, believed to be a gray BMW, was last seen fleeing south on Van Buren Avenue, police said.

The BMW sustained front and right side damage, and lost its right side mirror, which was found at the scene, according to police.

Both pedestrians, a male and female were transported to Norwalk Hospital, police said.

The female victim, Jaime Lane, later died of her injuries, according to police.
