Shyieca Bacchas, 34,  refused to roll down her window when first pulled over around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to Sgt. Robert Shawinsky.

Eventually, Bacchas rolled down the window and began immediately cursing at the officers and even tried to drive away, almost hitting one of the officers, Shawinsky said.

After offices removed her the car, Bacchas threw her keys at the officer and attempted to leave the area with her child in a car carrier, hesaid.

The officers were able to stop Bacchas and take the infant away while she continued to fight with the officers, Shawinsky said.

Officers then deployed a taser and shot Bacchas one time, Shawinsky said.

Following the tasing, she was taken to Stamford Hospital per department police where she had the taser barbs removed, he added.

She was charged with attempted assault on a police officer, the risk of injury to a child, resisting arrest, failure to register a commercial vehicle and failure to display a license plate.
