According to Stamford Poice Capt. Rich Conklin, Dontralle Reese, 36, was busted by officers with the Narcotics and Organized Crime squad after they heard on the street that he was dealing marijuana and might have two guns.

The unit "set-up" on his Treat Street home and at around 10:30 a.m. Friday, Reese walked out of the home and down the street smoking the joint offering officers the chance they needed to stop and search the multiple-time convicted felon, Conklin said.

During the stop, officers noticed right away that Reese had a 9mm Jimenez Arms semi-automatic pistol loaded with 10 rounds tucked in his waistband, Conklin said.

In his backpack police found a .380 Bersa semiautomatic pistol loaded with six rounds, additional ammunition in bags and plastic bags used for selling drugs Conklin said.

“This was a very proactive job by the unit," Conklin said. "And, they were able to get not one, but two illegal guns off the streets."

Conklin said Reese has past convictions for first-degree assault, the risk of injury to a minor, threatening, burglary, larceny, criminal mischief and more.

He was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of ammunition, possession of marijuana and altering the serial numbers of a firearm.

Reese is being held in lieu of a $300,000 court appearance bond.
