Michael O’Neil McFarlane, also known as "Murdah," 20, is suspected of trying rob a man on Richmond Hill Avenue on June 25, a statement from police said. The man fought back, police said. The suspect pulled out a gun and shot several times, hitting the victim twice as well as a passing vehicle with a small child inside, police said.

People in the van called police, and investigators found the victim, police have said. He was transported to the hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries, police said at the time. The victim was able to identify McFarlane as the shooter, police said.

The arrest warrant carries the charges of first-degree assault, criminal attempt at first-degree robbery and first-degree reckless endangerment, with a bond of $250,000, police said.

In addition to this warrant, Stamford Police also have a warrant for McFarlane’s arrest on a charge of second-degree assault for pistol whipping a female acquaintance, the statement said. Lt.
