Stamford Man Charged With Stabbing Woman During Fight

STAMFORD, Conn. — Police charged a 28-year-old Stamford man with stabbing his girlfriend in the arm during a fight on Wednesday, according to the Stamford Advocate.

The girlfriend told police that Wilmer Cardona-Sandoval came home drunk Wednesday night and threw her on the bed and demanded rent money, according to the Stamford Advocate. At one point he pulled out a knife and tried to stab her in the stomach, but instead slashed her arm, the Stamford Advocate reported.

Cardona-Sandoval then went outside to wait for the police, who found him on the porch, according to the Stamford Advocate. He was charged with second-degree assault, threatening and disorderly conduct and held on a $7,500 bond, according to the Stamford Advocate.
