The men, who took police on a brief foot chase after being stopped, were driving a car that had been reported stolen last week, said police.

After officers stopped the vehicle, the men jumped out and fled through Memorial Park, police said. A foot pursuit ensued, but the suspects were apprehended shortly after by responding patrol units, added police.

The men were identified as Eric Manuel Ortiz of Stamford, and Christopher M. Leiva-Molina and Jonathan Mazariegos-Figuroa, both of Spring Valley.

Each was charged with resisting arrest, possession of stolen property and obstructing a governmental agency.
