Social Worker In Greenwich Schools Charged With Stamford Sexual Assault

Police told the Stamford Advocate that 47-year-old Alexander Pino sexually assaulted the woman during a therapy session at his office on Main Street in Stamford in 2013. The woman, who is in her 40s, was encouraged by the Center for Sexual Assault Crisis Counseling and Education to report the incident to police last month, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Pino was arrested at a school in Greenwich on Wednesday and charged with second-degree sexual assault, according to the Stamford Advocate. He was held on a $150,000 bond, the Stamford Advocate reported.

The Greenwich Public Schools website lists Pino as a social worker at New Lebanon School and Hamilton Avenue School. He has also worked with the Saint Joseph Parenting Center in Stamford, according to the Stamford Advocate.

The details of the sexual assault were not released, as the arrest warrant has been sealed for at least two weeks, according to the Stamford Advocate.
