Route 7 Southbound In Norwalk Closed After Accident

NORWALK, Conn. --Route 7 southbound in Norwalk is closed following a serious accident Tuesday afternoon.

The accident was reported shortly after 3 p.m. Tuesday. Norwalk police tweeted that an accident involving multiple vehicles and injuries occurred on the Route 7 connector near Exit 2, including a vehicle that went down an embankment.

Norwalk police, fire, EMS and state police are on the scene. Drivers should avoid the area and expect delays.
