NORWALK, Conn. – A strong-arm robbery was reported in South Norwalk early Wednesday, according to police reports.
A Norwalk woman told police that she was confronted by a man on Hanford Place near the intersection with Water Street at about 2 a.m. Wednesday, police said. The suspect approached her with a rock in his hand, pinned her against the brick wall of a nearby building and demanded money, according to the report.
The victim turned over her wallet and cellphone, and the suspect fled on foot. The woman had scratches on her arms but declined medical treatment, according to the police report.
The suspect was described as a black male of medium height and weight. He was wearing a blue and black checked flannel shirt and blue jeans at the time of the robbery, according to the victim’s report.
