Police said that at around 2 p.m. on Saturday they responded to an accident in front of 379 Danbury Road in Wilton. A 2018 Audi Q7 driven by a Ridgefield teenager had failed to grant the right of way to a 2005 GMC Canyon driven by a 26-year-old Newtown driver, leading to a crash.

The teen driver left the scene, but was quickly located on Pimpewaug Road shortly afterwards, police said. The teen was issued a misdemeanor summons for failure to grant the right of way and evading responsibility, and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 17.
