Police: Woman Robbed Leaving Norwalk Supermarket

NORWALK, Conn. – A woman was reportedly robbed outside a Norwalk Stop & Shop store Tuesday evening, according to police reports.

The woman told police she was attacked from behind by two suspects as she left the Main Avenue store at about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. The suspects took the woman’s wallet from her hands and fled, according to her report.

The Norwalk Police K-9 unit followed a trail to the area behind Briggs High School before the trail went cold, police said. The woman was not able to provide a physical description of her attackers, according to the police report.

The case was still under investigation. Anyone with information can contact the Norwalk Police at 203-854-3000.

This woman wasn't able ( or didn't want ) to provide a physical description of her attackers. They took her wallet from her hands! There's no cameras there, maybe T.D.Bank has one, pointed that way. Now they can only pin their hopes on stupidity of cc use.


A bit over a year ago a woman was shot leaving the Stop and Shop on CT Ave. As usual the failures of the Norwalk Police department caught no one.
