Police Seek Suspect In Stamford Shooting; Victim In Critical Condition

STAMFORD, Conn. — A man was in critical condition after he was shot three times Sunday evening in Stamford, according to police.

Police responded to the area of 84 Myano Lane on reports of a male shot several times, Stamford police said.

When officers arrived at 7:24 p.m. the victim, a 25-year-old man from White Plains, N.Y., was suffering from gunshot wounds to his torso, left arm and left leg, according to police. He was transported to Stamford Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery, police said. He was in critical but stable condition on Monday, according to police.

A police investigation found that the victim and a 34-year-old Stamford resident were walking in the area of 84 Myano Lane when they were approached by a light-skinned Hispanic male, police said. After a short conversation, a light-skinned black male came from behind a tree and ambushed the victim with gunfire, according to police.

The suspects ran off north on Myano Lane, police said.

The incident was captured on close circuit television, and police were in the process of obtaining that video in an attempt to identify the people involved, according to police. 

The video was expected to be released later in the day Monday, police said.

The first suspect is described as a light-skinned Hispanic male in his early 20s, and wearing a dark hoodie, according to police. The shooter is described as a light-skinned black male in his early 20s and also wearing a dark colored hoodie, police said.

The shooter may be in possession of a revolver and should be considered armed and dangerous, according to police.
