Ericka Rodriguez, 25, was charged with third-degree burglary, second-degree forgery, possession of drug paraphernalia, interfering with an officer and sixth-degree larceny. She was also charged with two counts of failure to appear in court in 2013.

According to police, Rodriguez went to her boyfriend's grandfather's house on Reservoir Avenue last September and asked him for a ride. The 83-year-old man refused, and Rodriguez sat down at his table. The man went to the bathroom, and when he came back she was gone, police said. He realized he had left his wallet out on the table, and when he checked he discovered that $40 was missing. Police were unable to locate her at the time, and a warrant was applied for her arrest.

Police were called to the house again at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday on a report of an unwanted guest. The owner's son said that Rodriguez was in an upstairs apartment, where nobody was supposed to be. Police checked and found her hiding in a bathroom, according to police reports. When they asked who she was, she gave a fake ID, and told them that her name was same name as that on the ID.

The owner's son gave police her real name. Police discovered that there were active warrants out for her arrest, and she was taken into custody. While police were searching her, they found drug paraphernalia on her, according to police reports. She did not tell officers how she got in or what she was doing there, police said.
