NORWALK, Conn — A 43-year-old Norwalk woman was charged with drunken driving after a traffic stop early Wednesday, police said.
Officers on patrol pulled over Leyla Guzman in the area of Hudson and Aiken streets at 2 a.m. after receiving a report of a drunken driver, police said.
Police said Guzman smelled of alcohol and had slurred speech. She refused field sobriety tests and a Breathalyzer test, police said.
Police also said she had a small amount of marijuana in her possession, police said.
Guzman was charged with operation of a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, possession of less than one-half ounce of a cannabis-type substance (first-offense) and operating a vehicle without proper insurance, police said
Guzman’s bond was set at $2,000 with a court date of June 29, police said.
