Officers were called to Local Kitchen & Beer Bar at 11:40 p.m. on the report of an intoxicated male trying to fight with other customers, police said.
The incident began when Jonathan Orcutt, 46, made “rude” comments to customers and asked the bar manager inappropriate questions, police said.
Orcutt became angry when the manager asked him to leave, causing a loud commotion that led several customers to look over, police said.
During the incident, police said Orcutt also hit on another customer’s girlfriend. He also attempted to give a knife, which he had in his possession, to a customer to protect his girlfriend, police said.
Police said he also threatened to come back to the bar every day.
Customers escorted him out of the bar and locked him out because of his behavior, police said. While outside, he banged on the windows, police said.
When officers arrived, Orcutt denied causing the commotion and threatened to press charges against those who threw him out of the bar, police said.
Police said Orcutt was advised to sign a summons several times, but officers decided to arrest him after a small struggle.
Orcutt, who had a fresh cut on his leg, was evaluated by paramedics, police said. He was taken to Norwalk Hospital, where he was later discharged, police said.
Orcutt was charged with second-degree breach of peace. His bond was set at $5,000 with a court date of May 6, police said.
