Robert Mosley, 48, was charged with possession of child pornography, promoting a minor in an obscene performance, importing child pornography and obscenity. He was held on $50,000 bond and will appear in court March 20.
The arrest stemmed from a complaint made by Yankee Peddler and Pawn on Main Street in February. The pawn shop's management told police that they had found child pornography on a device in their possession, police said. Management provided police with information on the device's owner.
Detective Nathaniel Paulino of the Special Victims Unit was assigned to the case. During the investigation, police said an additional device belonging to Mosley was seized and found to contain multiple pornographic images of children, according to police reports.
The pawn shop's management contacted police Thursday and said Mosley was coming to retrieve some items that were being held there. Detectives from the Special Victims Unit and officers of the Patrol Division responded and waited for Mosley to arrive.
When he showed up, he was taken into custody. During an interview with Detectives Paulino and Kristina LaPak, Mosley admitted to possessing child pornography, according to police.
