Police: Norwalk Man Charged With 2008 Sexual Assault

NORWALK, Conn. – A routine traffic stop led to a Norwalk man being arrested on a four-year-old sexual assault warrant, police said.

David Gloria, 25, of Jefferson Street, was pulled over Sunday evening for talking on his cell phone while driving, police said. After stopping him, officers determined that there was a warrant for his arrest from an incident in 2008.

The incident in question involved a family friend, who said Gloria hit on her and tried to kiss her and touch her inappropriately at a gathering in June 2008. She pushed him away and reported him to the police.

Gloria was charged with third-degree sexual assault and given citations for operating without a license and using a cell phone while driving.

Broad River:

NPD should pull over more people driving while distracted. There are tons of them anywhere and everywhere I go. It panned out pretty well for this pull-over. What's wrong with bluetooth in your ear or over your radio anyway !
