Police: Man Mugged At Gunpoint In Norwalk

NORWALK, Conn. -- A man reported that he was mugged at gunpoint in the area of East Wall Street and Brook Street in Norwalk early Tuesday, according to police.

The man told officers that he was heading home at 1:26 a.m. when he was stopped by two men who demanded money from him, police said.

One suspect was a black male and the other was Hispanic, he told police, and both were wearing ski masks. He said the black male displayed a black handgun and the Hispanic man acted as a lookout, police said.

The two men took his cellphone and headphones and ran off, the victim told police.

Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects, police said.

The incident remains under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact the Detective Bureau at 203-854-3011.
