Police Investigate Double Shooting In South Norwalk

NORWALK, Conn. – Norwalk police were on the scene investigating a double shooting on Woodward Avenue in South Norwalk early Wednesday.

Two victims with serious but non-life-threatening injuries were taken to Norwalk Hospital by ambulance just after midnight Wednesday, Sgt. Thomas Roncinske said. One victim was found in the parking lot of Klaff's at 165 Water St. He did not say where the other victim was found.

Roncinske believes a car drove by and someone in the vehicle fired on a group of people. This was reported at about 11:50 p.m.

Evidence markers were placed on Woodward Avenue between Larsen and Grove streets as police investigated at about 1 a.m. Wednesday. Roncinske and other officers were looking for evidence on the sidewalk in the area of 40-46 Woodward Ave. and on Burritt Avenue.

No further details were available at this time.
