Tammy Jones, 36, of Bridgeport was charged with third-degree forgery and first-degree larceny. She was held on a $10,000 bond. Kymber Moore, 52, of Norwalk was charged with first-degree larceny, fraudulent use of an ATM and credit card theft. She was held on a $5,000 bond.

The arrest of Jones stems from a complaint police received in January. A Norwalk man told police that seven unauthorized checks had been used from his 71-year-old wife's account, totaling $21,600. He said that he believed it was Jones, who had cared for his wife for two years. Police contacted Jones, who said that the money was part of a loan the man had given her. The man told police that he had given her a $3,000 loan, but that the missing money was unrelated, according to police reports. An arrest warrant was issued, and Jones was taken into custody Monday afternoon.

The arrest of Moore came from a complaint police received in February from a 79-year-old woman whose ATM card had been used four times in two months to withdraw a total of $1,660. The woman's family believed that the money had been withdrawn by Moore, who had been hired to care for the woman, police said. Police contacted the bank where the money was withdrawn and obtained two surveillance videos of Moore withdrawing the money, according to police reports. She was arrested on a warrant Monday evening.
