Gregory Pfeiffer was arrested at about 7 a.m. after officers raided his home, police said. Inside, members of the department’s Special Services Division seized 51 bags of heroin, located in Pfeiffer’s bedroom, police said.

According to Lt. Jim Walsh, Pfeiffer was arrested on similar charges in January and had been under investigation since then.

“After that arrest, Pfeiffer made bond and continued his drug operation,” Walsh said in a statement. Through the investigation, police “determined that Pfeiffer was a very active heroin dealer throughout the city.”

Additional information concerning Pfeiffer’s alleged drug operation was not disclosed.

Pfeiffer was charged with possession of narcotics, sale and possession near a school, illegal manufacturing, distribution and sale of prescription narcotics and illegal possession of narcotics near a school.

He was held on $100,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Thursday.
